The NNA is the nationally and internationally recognized professional association for America's Notaries Public, and the authority and thought leader for the profession. Recognizing that our Marketing & Member Services department has the most significant and direct impact on revenue, we are expanding and restructuring this department's management team to ensure we can quickly translate good ideas into well-executed marketing programs.

In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:
- Expertise with and understanding of how to incorporate best practices and innovation into effective direct marketing programs to generate desired results on a timely basis.
- Solid familiarity with direct marketing principles, including the ability to integrate target audience/list, offer and creative into effective marketing programs that deliver desired results.
- Expertise in directing and managing outbound telemarketing programs, including writing scripts.

- Analytical and logical aptitude and strong critical thinking skills.
- The ability to develop cost/benefit analyses and evaluate activities in terms of return on marketing spend.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with marketing applications (design and customer database/management).
- The ability to interact with diverse groups, both technical and non-technical, including IT, Marketing Program Managers, Creative Team, Communications, Customer Service, Program Developers.
- A bachelor's degree.

More About Your Role
If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Member Services, you will oversee five skilled Program Managers focusing on high priority states and/or product lines, in addition to a Marketing Assistant who will support the entire team. You will be part of a collaborative group environment, working closely with our interactive, creative and production teams. You'll be a peer to the existing Group Manager and a new Interactive Marketing Manager.
You will assume responsibility for the marketing budgets and resources (internal staffing and outside vendors) associated with direct mail and outbound telemarketing activities, among other "traditional" marketing programs. Your top priority will be to have an immediate impact on growing revenues by implementing results-driven traditional marketing programs, including direct mail and outbound telemarketing. You also will identify any resource gaps and make recommendations for additional internal or external resources.
Your initial objectives will include:
- Assuming oversight of existing projects and marketing activities to grow revenue and gain larger market share in the NNA's top priority states. A key goal here will be reducing time from idea to execution.
- Proposing a plan for developing new revenue opportunities.
Each of our employees goes through a structured education program that provides the essential knowledge of the Notary Public profession and develops important understanding of how the NNA serves the nearly 5 million Notaries.
